Girly Secret Weapons

"I swear by this product." We've all said it. Whether it's a new affection towards dry shampoo or your weekly ritual of pore cleansing facial masks, there is at least one product to help keep the grossness monster away. During the Thanksgiving to New Years Eve stretch, these products become increasingly prominent when your calendar is booked solid with parties, dinners and cocktail hours. Here are my top three products that are getting me through the holidays.

So much girliness

You can't sweat with this stuff

Certain Dri
You're in a room full of people, you're mingling, you're grooving, you're drinking, you're sweating. Stop embarrassing sweat marks with Certain Dri. Containing 12% aluminum chloride, the active ingredient used in prescription anti-perspirants, this water-based product is available at most major retailers. Apply at night before bed and you won't sweat for up to 72 hours.
Use - At night before bed
Note - Do not shave before using this product. It will burn like a bitch.

It's like magic

Zapzyt
Zits happen, usually at the worst time. Zapzyt is magic as far as I'm concerned, as it literally eradicates your blemishes overnight. Clean and Clear and Clearasil creams are placebos compared to this stuff. Sold online and at Walgreens Pharmacy.
Use - At night before bed
Note - This product will stain your clothes and sheets. Make sure it's dry before getting in contact with any fabric.

Perfect self tanner
from Bath and Body Works

Bath and Body Works Strike Gold Self Tanner
I always think I look better in a dress if my legs aren't transparent. And since the beach isn't an option in December, fake tanning it is! Strike Gold is by far the easiest and most efficient at home self tanner I've ever used, and I've used a lot. Read my DIY Tanning Advice From a Pale Girl post for step by step tips on getting the perfect indoor color.
Use - At night
Note - Apparently it smells terrible to boys. I don't really mind it, but I think that's my positive thinking. And the product smell goes away once you take a shower, 8 hours later.
