Worth the wait. The Appreciation Post comes back with Slip Away EP |
Boston's power-pop-punk band, The Appreciation Post, is celebrating the release of their highly anticipated 6-song EP Slip Away on Friday January 31st at TT the Bear’s in Cambridge and you’re invited!
Formed in 2005, The Appreciation Post has made appearances on the Vans Warped Tour, in Alternative Press Magazine, was nominated Best Punk Band by the late Boston Phoenix Magazine and won the Journey's Backyard BBQ - Battle of the Bands in 2010.
Slip Away is the band's fourth EP and the follow up to the 2010 Leftovers.
After nearly two years of writing and recording, The Appreciation Post has created their most well-rounded EP to date; finally mastering the synth-to-guitar ratio in order to produce a more mature pop punk sound that is in the category of Say Anything or The Starting Line.
To complement the release, two music videos have already been produced for Slip Away. The $1 financed clip for “Quick, Brain” and the bigger budgeted video for “Auxiliary Floor Toms”, a track that paints the perfect picture of the aging rocker staying true to his sound despite changing fads in the scene, featuring local comedian Nick Lavallee.
An incredibly solid EP and catchy as hell, the Appreciation Post is on track toward great things.
See The Appreciation Post live with some equally up to par Boston bands USA!USA!USA!, Pretty & Nice and The Color & Sound on Friday, January 31st at TT the Bear’s in Central Square, Cambridge. $10 / 18+ / 8:30 doors. View complete details and band profiles on the official Facebook event page.
Follow The Appreciation Post on Facebook for additional show dates. Slip Away can be purchases on Bandcamp as a CD digipak for $8 and as a 10″ ultra clear vinyl with heavy purple and black splatter (limited to 250 copies).
